Karen was assisting at the 1st Triathlon seminar I went to, I had a hand-me-down bike,it was awful. Two days later I went to Spokes and Slopes to purchase a new bike. I think she was waiting for me, she had a bike already picked out. It took her 3 years to get me to let her to raise the seat to the correct height, but she kept at me every year until she had it right. I doubt if I would have finished my first race without her help. This year will be my 5th race and I will dedicate it to her. I will miss her enthusiasm and encouragement! Gayle
